THE fastest land animal on earth has arrived at the West Midland Safari Park.
The park, near Bewdley, has a new four-mile drive through called Cheetah Plains - the UK's largest drive-through cheetah reserve - which is home to brothers Munya and Bulika.
A spokeswoman for the park said: "Cheetahs are typically solitary animals, as they are shy and generally not very sociable and it is not unusual for brothers from the same litter to live together in small groups. They are endangered in the wild and are disliked intensely by farmers for killing livestock and are still ruthlessly hunted.
"Cheetah can accelerate from 0-45mph in three seconds and reach a top speed of up to 70mph. The name cheetah comes from an Indian word meaning spotted one'."
The two-and-a-half-year- olds, who were bred in this country, can be seen from today.
