HUSBAND-and-wife team Jim Collins and Carrie Wright hope to offer something new for Malvern in 2008 when they open a business with a focus on family fun.
A year after launching mobile pottery painting business Green Frog Pottery, they are unveiling a permanent studio in Barnards Green on Tuesday.
Green Frog Pottery allows would-be painters of any experience to select from a range of part-fired pottery, including plates, bowls and figurines, which they can decorate as they wish.
Green Frog then glazes the pieces and fires them in the kiln before they are ready for collection.
In the past year, Green Frog has visited a wide range of schools, nurseries and community groups, but Mr Collins said opening permanent premises meant people could come and have a go whenever they pleased.
"There are not that many things in Malvern for children to do, especially if you are looking for somewhere to have a birthday party or something like that," he said. "It's good fun and something that absolutely anybody can do. It's really popular with children but we get a lot of adults coming along as well. There's something for all ages."
Green Frog Pottery will be open from Tuesday-Saturday every week. To celebrate its opening, 10 per cent of all first-week profits will be donated to Acorns Children's Hospice.
