PROSPECTIVE students have the opportunity to discover more about a new future in higher education, at the University of Worcester's open afternoon on Wednesday.

A number of full, part-time and flexible course opportunities are available at Worcester, to help people of all ages and backgrounds take their first steps into University study.

Lecturers and staff will be on hand, between 1pm and 5pm, to give advice and information on both post graduate and undergraduate courses and advice on accommodation and fees.

University of Worcester Vice Chancellor, Professor David Green, said: "Often people don't realise there are a variety of routes into higher education including traditional A-levels, HNDs, BTECs, NVQs and Access courses.

"Worcester is also a very warm, welcoming place, with a wide variety of students, in fact up to 45 per cent of our students are aged 21 or over."

He added: "Wednesday really is a great opportunity for people of all ages and educational backgrounds to discover more about University study."
