A WOMAN who stopped at the scene of a road traffic collision in Malvern where a cyclist was run over by at least one vehicle is being sought by police.
The incident, which happened on Tuesday, January 15, involved a cyclist who was travelling along Worcester Road with a red Vauxhall Cavalier at the junction of Albert Park Road.
The cyclist was then ran over by at least one other vehicle.
The female is thought to have stopped further up Worcester Road after the incident and spoke with another driver who also stopped.
She is said to have been very upset and had a boy, around nine-years-old, travelling with her.
PC Lee Baker said: "We would like to speak to this woman as she witnessed the incident and may have further information that could help us with her enquiries. We understand she spoke to another witness at the scene before driving off.
"The incident took place at 7.26pm and the weather conditions were poor that evening with atrocious surface water and reduced visibility. I would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward but take this opportunity to ask people to think back and contact police if they were there."
The cyclist was taken by ambulance to the Accident & Emergency Department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital and had suffered a broken rib, a two-inch cut to the head and cuts to his legs.
Anyone with information is urged to call PC Baker on 08457 444 888, quoting 557/S/150108. Information can also be given - anonymously - to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
