A WORCESTER moving business has helped a top European football club prepare for their pre-season training.
Warren’s Removals recently helped S.L. Benfica as they travelled to England during their pre-season preparations.
S.L. Benfica is one of the biggest clubs in Portugal and has had some of the biggest names in football come through their system.
Warren Leggett, the owner of Warren’s Removals, said that the experience was “quite surreal”.
“Benfica like to come to the UK every year for a friendly match with an English side.
“We brought all of their training gear and luggage to St Georges Park in Burton-upon-Trent from Birmingham’s XLR private airport on Friday, July 8 and packed it back up again on Thursday, July 14.
“It is quite surreal; they had a really cool set-up.”

St George’s Park is the home of the FA and is where the England National Football Team come to train.
Dan Norcott, of Warrens Removals, even managed to snap a picture with Moroccan international and former Tottenham Hotspur, QPR and Fulham star Adel Taarabt.
Warren’s Removals previously worked with the European club back in 2018.
He said: “They are a returning customer which means we must have done a good job on the first one.
“This is the second time I have done this for Benfica, and I would imagine they wanted to return after 2018 but the pandemic got in the way.
“Their agent got in touch with me again and we were happy to help.
“There was a major language barrier, but we think they were telling us how amazing we are when they handed us a cap each to say thank you.”
Equipment that needed transporting included luggage, goals and free kick dummies.

The business started in 2014 and now has a fleet of 9 Luton vehicles, an 18-tonne removals truck and a 24-person team carrying out moves across the UK.
