PLACES are still available for a free advanced driving theory course and assessed drive for people aged under 26.

The course is being run by Worcestershire Group of Advanced Motorists in partnership with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The course is available for up to 30 qualified drivers aged from 17 to 25 years of age. It will involve three evening theory sessions on three consecutive Monday evenings; February 25, March 3 and March 10 at The Countryside Centre, Wildwood Drive, Worcester, from 7.30pm prompt to 9.30pm.

This will end with a written test and an assessed drive of around one hour on a later date for all candidates.

While all will be encouraged to continue with a full on-road Advanced Driving course, the top three scorers in the written test will be awarded free on-road "Skill for Life" Advanced Driving Courses, which will be followed by a free Skid Avoidance and Control session after they have passed their Advanced Driving Tests.

To book a place contact the secretary at worcester@groups.iam.org.uk or call 07020 940084.
