WORCESTER Warriors stars swapped rugby tackles for golf swings to help promote a golf day to raise funds for Acorns Children's Hospice.
Players Pat Sanderson and Tony Windo agreed to help launch the event at the Sixways ground and hope to take part in the event.
They will be joined by teams of four from Worcestershire businesses for the day at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Churchdown, near Cheltenham on Thursday, May 15.
Sophie James, Acorns' spokeswoman, said: "The Acorns Golf Day is a wonderful opportunity for corporate teams to have some fun and friendly competition whilst raising money for a good cause.
"It is also the perfect chance for non-golfers to learn some skills and for regular golfers to be part of a local fund-raising event."
Entry, costing £180 per team of four, will include coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, 18 holes of golf and a two course carvery buffet.
"Team and individual prizes will also be up for grabs.
Anyone interested in taking part, or sponsoring the event, which will help Acorns care for life-limited children and their families, should call 01905 761220.
