THE new owners set to take over a former city nightclub have been revealed.
Epic Bars and Clubs has taken over the former Alexander’s nightclub in New Street in Worcester according to a licensing application to Worcester City Council.
Alexander’s nightclub closed in May and has remained empty since.
The application by Epic Bars Worcester proposes a number of changes to the nightclub including building a handful of new bars, and adding extra booths and installing new toilets.
Epic Bars and Clubs, based in Cheltenham, runs nightclubs and bars across the country including Trilogy nightclubs in Blackpool, High Wycombe, Warrington and Southampton, Labyrinth nightclubs in Bath and Windsor, Home and Botanic in Cheltenham and Botanic Bar in High Wycombe.
The owners of Alexander’s said the nightclub had opened its doors for the last time in May after the venue had been sold.

“The years and memories we have shared will never be forgotten.
“Thank you to all those that joined us on the journey and we hope the best for you in the future.
“Keep your eyes open for something special coming to Worcester soon.”
The city is set to be judged on the quality of its night out as part of a bid to become recognised as a safe and vibrant place to visit.

A working group led by Worcester BID is set to apply for prestigious Purple Flag status which, if achieved, would see Worcester regarded as one of the country’s safest and most vibrant night-time locations.
Purple Flag accreditation is similar to the Green Flag award for parks and the Blue Flag for beaches and is awarded to towns and city centres that meet or surpass the standards of excellence in managing the evening and night-time economy.
Town and city centres that receive a Purple Flag are classed as safe, diverse, vibrant, appealing, well-managed and offer a positive experience to visitors.
