THREE people have been charged after police arrested a gang over suspected purse thefts in Worcester.
Road police OPU Worcestershire pulled over a silver Vauxhall Zafira after a purse was stolen in the city on Saturday (July 2).
Police believe the trio are also responsible for a number of similar thefts in the city centre.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "All three detainees were charged with thefts and remanded in Police custody.
"They are off to Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning."

West Mercia Police regularly hand out small bells to vulnerable shoppers to attach to purses to help stop thieves.
