A SPECTACLE in the skies above Worcester had people thinking they were seeing some kind of alien spacecraft.
People watched in awe as a plane flew over the city while releasing fireworks from its wings.
The plane was in the air last night (Saturday, July 2) creating a beautiful firework display.
One eyewitness said: "It was amazing - I went out to take pictures of the moon and spotted it.
"I saw it and thought 'What is that?'
"I thought I was seeing things at first - like it was some kind of UFO.
"The plane was setting off fireworks and we just watched it all.
"It looked incredible."
The display has left people curious about where the plane came from and why it lit up the sky.
It is believed that the plane was in the sky in celebration of a wedding in the Fernhill Heath area.
It is thought the groom is a pilot and the special firework display was put on by friends.
