Worcester Carnival will be taking over the city today (Saturday, July 2) with a parade and other events and activities taking place throughout the day.
The Carnival Village will be on at Pitchcroft from 11am until 7.30pm running various events and activities.
At 3pm, the carnival parade will begin to make its way through Worcester's city centre.
The Botanist Community Stage at Pitchcroft will be hosting entertainment throughout the day:
- 11.00 - Fireflies & Panthers
- 11.20 - Lollipop Youth Theatre
- 11.40 - Beat Breakerz
- 12.00 - Studio B
- 12.20 - Lydia Dimmock
- 12.30 - The Mayor crowns the Carnival Queen
- 13.00 - Aimee Zumba
- 13.20 - WODS
- 13.40 - Academy Theatre Arts
- 14.00 - Charlie Green
- 14.25 - Amazing Emily
- 14.30-17.00 - events on the community stage will pause while the parade takes place.
- 17.00 - Winner's presentation
- 17.30 - Woodbeez
- 18.30 - Elliot Oakley Band

Some roads in the city centre will be closed between 2-5pm to accommodate the parade making its way through Worcester.
These roads are:
- Croft Road
- Castle Street
- Foregate Street
- The Cross
- High Street
- Pump Street
- City Walls Road
- College Street
- Deansway
- North Parade Street
