PEOPLE will be enjoying all the fun of the fair when a popular summer event returns on Saturday (July 9).

Families can enjoy stalls, refreshments and entertainment when the well-loved St George's summer fair returns.

Hosted by St George's CE Church in Barbourne, the fair has been postponed for two years due to the covid-19 pandemic.

A spokesperson from the event said: "We as a church have been particularly cautious about restarting events and with the uncertainty, last year we couldn't commit to holding it but we are very glad to be hosting it again.

"I can't speak for everybody but everyone I know is looking forward to it, it's always been a lovely community event which people enjoy and yes it's going to be great to be back in the Square next Saturday for everyone to enjoy.

"Tinged with sadness for the people that we've lost since we were last there in this difficult time but we're determined to make it a lovely day for everyone to relax, enjoy the band with some refreshments and all the fun of a fete."

"We’ll have face painting and games for children in our Kidszone and of course the traditional fairground roundabout.

"This is an event for all of the community with funds raised going towards St Georges CE Church and the good causes that it supports.
