The Hive in Worcester will be hosting a Job Centre Fair to help local employers move more Job Centre customers into work.

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 6 from 10am to 10pm and will be on level 0 of The Hive. 

A spokesperson from the event said: "It will coincide with the launch of Worcester Youth Hub which will be a great opportunity for local employers to help move more Job Centre customers into work."

A number of employees will be hosting a stand at the event including:   

  • Worcestershire County Council
  • West Mercia Police
  • British Army
  • A-Plan Insurance
  • Co-Op
  • Kerry
  • Freedom Leisure

Siobhan Bratt, department for work and pensions in Worcester said: “There are so many sectors being represented at next week’s event, it is a really good opportunity and take what for many is a really difficult first step.

"There are lots of local employers who are coming to the event to try and help local people into work.”

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: “It’s great to be working with partners like Job Centre Plus to help improve employment opportunities for all across Worcestershire.

"This is an ideal opportunity for those looking for work, to come and see the vacancies that are currently available and speak to employers face to face.”

As the event also falls within UK Care Week, the fair will have a dedicated care recruitment sector.

Attending the event from this area will be Cross Roads Care, Human Kind, NHS, Care Tech, Age UK, UK Care, NHS Professionals, Berkeley Care Homes.
