An ambitious entrepreneur has spiced up the city's food scene with a takeaway pizza paradise next door to his popular restaurant.
Altaf's Balti, at 166 Tolladine Road in Worcester, has already been transformed from its days as the Farmer's Boy.
It now serves authentic Kashmiri food and says it has a loyal following.
The manager says 15 regular families come to the restaurant, which has an open kitchen, and they even serve family-sized nan bread.
He now hopes more customers will also sample the takeaway and delivery service at Altaf's Grill House next door which he believes complements the restaurant, giving diners more choice at a reasonable price.
Manager Nadeem Ahmed said he believed the Grill House offered 'probably the cheapest pizzas in Worcester'.
The takeaway business, open for just under a year, offers any regular pizza collection for £4.49 (£6.99 for delivery), a large pizza for £6.49 (£9.49 for delivery) and an extra-large pizza for £10.49 (£12.99 for delivery).
As well as offering a range of 17 different pizzas including 'Altaf's Special', the Grill House also serves a range of kebabs, burgers, wraps, kids meals, desserts, sides, drinks and dips.
The former full-time chef and father-of-four took over Altaf's Balti in 2017.
He says he is keen to create a 'food hub' with a better choice for diners and an attractive alternative to going into the city centre for a premier dining experience.
The 35-year-old said the Grill House was already popular for its spicy red chicken doner kebab which was making a name for itself.
"Nobody else in Worcester does that," he said. "We are also getting well known for our milkshakes."
Milkshake flavours include Oreo, Snickers, Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Bueno.
Both businesses are served by 45 parking spaces which he said made eating at the restaurant or picking up a takeaway that much easier.
Mr Ahmed said: "I want more people through the doors. I want to make this place the busiest pizza shop in Worcester. People may be struggling but here you can manage to get a good quality pizza at a budget price."
The self-made businessman said he and his staff prided themselves on the fact that all the food at the Grill House was prepared freshly on-site before they opened the doors to customers.
The opening hours for Altaf's Grill House are 5pm to midnight on Sunday to Thursday and 5pm to 1am, Friday and Saturday.
