A 25-year-old consumed a cocktail of lager and sleeping pills before setting off fire extinguishers in a block of flats.
Daniel Stretton caused more than £300 worth of damage to Worcester Community Housing's property following his early morning antics.
Gemma Goode, prosecuting at Worcester Magistrates Court on Turesdaysaid police were called to Stretton's address in The Hopmarket, Worcester city centre following reports of a disturbance.
"The ground flood was covered in water and foam," she said. "The trail of water and foam led up the stairs and directly to the door of number 50. Officers could see the floor and hallways were covered (in it)."
Miss Goode said Stretton was arrested following the incident, which happened at about 1am on Friday, January 11.
"The defendant was abusive towards officers," she added.
"He stated due to the fact he had drunk four pints of lager and had six sleeping tablets, he couldn't remember much from the night before."
Miss Goode said WCH has put arrangements in place for Stretton to repay the cost of the damage. Barry Newton, defending, said Stretton did have a lengthy criminal record, but in recent years his offending had all but stopped.
"Two years have passed until this matter arises," he said. "Whilst there is a damage back in the midst of time, there's no pattern of causing wanton damage."
Stretton admitted causing criminal damage, was fined £80 and must pay £60 costs.
