PARENTS will receive help with the cost of new uniform at a school which is changing its name.
Dines Green Community Academy is rebranding in September with a new name announced on the first day of term.
Businesses have joined together to help with the extra costs of school uniform.
Councillor Richard Udall has also made a donation to the new uniform provision.
The project is being overseen by Julia Williams, member of the Mercian Educational Trust and director of ADD Marketing.
Mr Andrew Morley, headteacher of Dines Green Community Academy said: “The new identity and name for Dines Green Community Academy, heralds the start of a new chapter for our school.
"It will reinforce our academy status further and importantly demonstrate an investment to mark a positive future ahead for the school and wider community.
"We are immensely grateful for the kind support of the Worcester business community who have come together to offer united support on the uniform provision.”
Tracy Lowe, from Lowe Family Solicitors, added: “Lowe Family Solicitors are delighted to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile project and help where we can to alleviate any financial stress to local families by gifting the new polo shirts to the pupils.
"With the current rising cost of living, it is important now more than ever that we recognise consequences of this on our communities and step in to help if we can.”
The school has said that their upcoming rebrand will come with a number of new initiatives to celebrate the school's values and ethhos.
The school said: "Former Governor of Dines Green Community Academy, Tracy Lowe, of Lowe’s Family Solicitors, has kindly sponsored the new school polo shirts which will be given to all pupils in September.
"Other Worcester businesses collaborating to support the school are recruitment specialists, Baxter Williams, ISO Quality Services, whose expertise help businesses navigate ISO compliance, and Hewett Recruitment, who have been providing bespoke recruitment solutions for the shires for over forty years.
"Completing the sponsorship team are Martin Hanney, Director of UK Operations at Malvern-based Aspenify, a company dedicated to innovating the process of connecting people virtually, Edward Dally, Senior Associate at Worcester’s Financial Advice Centre and Kelly Fieldhouse from Worcestershire Mortgage Services."
