A MAN has been banned from getting behind the wheel for failing to provide information on the driver of a Volkswagen.
Hereford magistrates heard William Dighton did not provide the information to police relating to the identification of the driver, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
The 28-year-old’s guilt was proved in the absence as the case was held under Single Justice Procedure, which allows defendants to be prosecuted for driving offences without them being in court.
Magistrates heard Dighton, of Woodmans Rise, Droitwich, committed the offence on December 16 last year in Worcester.
Dighton was disqualified from driving for six months.

Dighton was also fined £660, and told to pay costs of £90, and a victim surcharge of £66.
He was told to pay the total, £816, in full by July 7.
The case was heard at Herefordshire Magistrates' Court on June 9.
