A MERCEDES driver has been sentenced by magistrates for speeding.
Richard Meacham, of Mantle Close, Droitwich, was not present at Northampton Magistrates Court.
Magistrates heard the 31-year-old was caught driving a Mercedes on the A43 Corby Pass at a speed above the limit of 70mph on September 23 last year.

The case was held under the Single Justice Procedure, which allows courts to prosecute people for driving offences in their absence.
Magistrates handed Meacham three penalty points on his driving licence.
Meacham was fined £53, and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £35.
