THE University of Worcester is hosting a free Dragons' Den-style event to draw attention to fledgling business investment opportunities in the region.
Three companies, Irridian, Gaia Active and Aeristech, will be pitching their expansion plans and funding requirements to potential business angels.
The event, held in assocication with investment firm Beer & Partners and sponsored by Advantage West Midlands, will be preceded by an equity entrepreneur workshop for any would-be investors in unquoted firms.
The workshop will include risk evaluation, management team assessment and valuation techniques. Participation automatically entitles delegates to join the Beer & Partners' investment community, with access to investment propositions throughout the year.
Andrew Mitchell, a Worcester-based associate of Beer & Partners, said: "By bringing all of the parties together with real investment opportunities, we may even stimulate some deals on the night."
The free event runs from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow. Registration forms are available from Vicki Lancey on 01905 855279 or by e-mailing v.lancey@worc.ac.uk
