A WORCESTER spray tan firm is encouraging people to set up their own business.

The Spray Tan Cubicle Company has trained thousands of spray tan therapists across the UK since 2003 and is aiming to increase that number this year with a regional recruitment campaign to help people who are looking for a new challenge build their own spray tanning empire.

The firm, based in Sheriff Street, Worcester, specialises in providing professional training, accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists, as well as supplying products and equipment that are needed to set up a business. This includes spray tanning machines and marketing materials that can be used to promote a spray tanning business under the Sienna X brand.

People can set up their own mobile Sienna X spray tanning business with no previous experience in business or spray tanning.

Fake tanning is the one of the fastest growing beauty treatments in the UK with an estimated £40 million spent on acquiring fake tans by people last year in the UK.

The company was formed in 2003 by Nicola Matthews, who identified a need in the industry for a pop-up spray tanning cubicle for mobile therapists. The business venture was a huge success and lead to the development of the Sienna X brand in 2007 which includes tanning equipment, solutions and booths.
