A LONG-AWAITED fast food restaurant's opening has been postponed after announcing it was set to open this week. 

German Doner Kebab, at 19 The Foregate, Worcester, has shared that the restaurant's opening date will be postponed until next month.

The restaurant was set to open at some point this week but has now been pushed back.

A formal date has still yet to be confirmed for the newly announced June opening and the reason for the delay is currently unknown.

The restaurant was originally scheduled to open in April and is set to create approximately 40 new jobs in the local area.

The empty listed building was last occupied by Red Leaf World Buffet which closed in February 2020.

It has also been a Deep Pan Pizza restaurant and Grill and Flames World Buffet.
