A woman who spent two weeks at Worcester’s hospital has praised the ‘angel’ nurses for their help during her stay.
Lilian Burns, 82 and from Blackpole, spent a fortnight on the trauma ward Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a broken hip.
She was over the moon with the care she received from the nurses at the hospital.
She said: “They deserve a medal for what they do there, they are angels.
“I haven’t been to the hospital for about 40 years since I gave birth, but it has opened my eyes.
“They just go from bed to bed, providing love and care.”
Mrs Burns was bedbound at the hospital and is now continuing her recuperation at home.
She added: “The nurses all have things going on in their own lives but continue to put the patients first.
“The young lads are so polite and some of the girls there have kids of their own.
“I don’t think they get the appreciation they deserve, they are a step apart from everybody and are doing a fantastic job.
“I just hope people sit up and realise how brilliant they are.”
