A NEW entertainment venue is set to open in Angel Place in mid-June in the old veg market.
The Dart Side will feature interactive darts, pool tables and shuffleboards as well as sell drinks when it opens in June.
Mike Davis, 40 and Dan Charlton, 35, both run successful businesses in The Arches in Worcester and have joined forces for the new venture.
Mr Davis owns the Arch Rivals pub and Mr Charlton is the owner of Axe Junkies and their new project Dart Side is set to be a fusion of both worlds.
Dart Side will have a small bar and a restaurant area that will seat up to 40 people while offering customers a range of games like darts, pool tables and shuffleboard.
The theme will follow a subtle American theme with framed jerseys dotted around the place while also using traditional British colours.
The building is just under 100-years-old and has been home to many businesses over the years, including Angel Chef Chinese buffet and JAX Bar and Grill.
Mr Davis said: "Me and Dan have been friends for a while and we had the idea of bringing an entertainment venue to Worcester.
"Angel House has been an empty building for years, we put an offer in the same day the sign went up.
"We fell in love with the building and it's just under 100 years old.
"It's been quite a few places in the past but hopefully this will stick around.
The building started life as an indoor market but has also housed Angel Chef, Panama Jacks and U-Canteen.
Mr Davis said: "My mother-in-law and sister-in-law remembered it as an indoor market."
The venue will offer customers interactive darts, a pool table and shuffleboard.
"The American shuffleboards have intrigued a lot of people because not many people know what that is. We put a sign up and people have asked us what shuffleboard is."
"We are bringing shuffleboards to Worcester.

Mr Charlton said: "A lot of small businesses will help keep people here.
"It's not a cheap project and we hope the people of Worcester will love it.
"We're going to have a small bar area and restaurant that will hopefully seat 40 people.
"We are trying to do something new for Worcester that it needs and we want it to be a key highlight for Worcester.
"Once the equipment arrives the place will start to take shape.
"We will have a subtle American sports theme, the darts, shuffleboards and pool are quite American and we'll have a few framed jerseys lying around the place and maybe add a skyline picture.
"This end of town is the 'independent' part of town and we want to be part of that."
