THE CITY's popular vegan restaurant is on the brink of being crowned one of the best in England.
Be The Change Foods announced it has reached the final for the best vegetarian establishment at The Food Awards England 2022.
The awards recognise servers, specialists and suppliers in the English food and restaurant industry.
The vegan brand has two locations in Worcester city centre, including a restaurant on Friar Street and a cafe in Cornmarket.
A spokesperson for Be The Change Foods said: "We're in the final.
"Super proud of our fantastic team who now have a well-earned spot at the England Food Awards 2022, proof that vegan dining is mainstream and poised ready to take over the world.
"Thanks for all the nominations and support we've received so far. We'd be nothing without your backing."
The restauranteurs serve a wide variety of vegan-based dishes including tofu fish and chips, vegan crispy chilli beef and vegan chicken wings.
The restaurant, also known as BTC, has been in Worcester since 2018.
Be The Change is up against five other restaurants throughout the Midlands, which include:
- Veggie Fellas (Walsall)
- No.12 Hounds Gate (Nottingham)
- Land Restaurant (Birmingham)
- The Good Earth (Leicester)
- Jyoti’s Vegetarian (Birmingham)
The awards are established by creative oceanic, who are behind 72 different annual award schemes.

A spokesperson for The Food Awards England said: “England offers a wide range of places that serve world cuisines.
"The finalists were voted for by the public for providing authentic recipes and unique dishes to their diners, creating memorable experiences for both residents and visitors.
“Undoubtedly, there are some amazing specialists around the country, who know how to offer great service, delicious food and meet the expectations of their diners.
"These are the professionals that we aim to reward at The Food Awards England 2022.

The seventh annual Food Awards England 2022 will take place in Manchester, with a formal date yet to be confirmed.
