POLICE have renewed appeals for information about two armed robberies in Worcester and a ram-raid in Droitwich.

The first of the Worcester incidents happened at William Hill bookmakers in St John's at about 6pm on Sunday, October 21, when a masked man threatened staff with a gun and knife before making off with cash.

He is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 and about 5ft 10ins to 6ft.

In the second incident an armed robber threatened a female member of staff at Corals bookmakers in Trinity Street about 11am on Sunday, December 2.

An unknown customer heard the woman in distress and pushed the masked man to the floor but he escaped with cash.

It is believed he lost his mask and ran off down an alley towards High Street, leaving a trail of coins.

The man is described as in his mid-20s, was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a dark, hooded anorak. He was slim and about 6ft.

Meanwhile information is still needed about a ram raid at a Droitwich security depot.

Thousands of pounds were taken from Group 4 Securicor (G4S) on Berry Hill Industrial Estate, at about 8.40pm on Monday, November 5.

Four vehicles - all believed to be stolen - were used in the burglary. They were two 4x4 vehicles - a silver Mitsubishi Shogun and a green Land Rover Discovery. Two dark coloured, high-performance Audi cars, were used by the hooded thieves to escape.

A police spokeswoman said: "Inquiries are ongoing in to all three incidents and we would still appeal for any members of the public with any information, no matter how unimportant they think that might be, to contact police on 08457 444888."
