TWO boys from Malvern are facing the notorious Simon Cowell in the next round of Britain's Got Talent today.

Eleven-year-old Jack Lupton and Eddie Paisley, 12, had their first audition for the competition - which seeks to find Britain's next best amateur talent act - in November, but when they didn't hear anything they thought they hadn't reached the next round.

But last week they received a call from the talent show organisers inviting them to audition in the next round and telling them they would be meeting TV presenters Ant and Dec.

Jack's mother, Sue Lupton, said the whole family was very excited. "I feel very excited for him and I think any progress in it is exciting," she said.

Jack and Eddie are performing a dance routine from the comedy duo Laurel and Hardie. "The dance is extremely characterful so it is quite striking," said Mrs Lupton, of Sling Lane, Malvern. "They look like mini versions of Laurel and Hardie."

Both the youngsters have been dancing since they were six-years-old and dance with Worcester's Academy Dance School, and Jack is a member of the Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society's Youth Section.

Eddie's mother, Sandy Paisley, of Barnards Green Road, Malvern, said: "He loves that sort of thing, performing and acting, and he is very excited about meeting Ant and Dec."

The boys, who are both students at Malvern's Chase school, are auditioning in Birmingham.
