A VILLAGE near Malvern has finally been given a shop after a lengthy campaign.
Cradley has lacked a village store for a number of years, but now, after a campaign from members of the community, it has finally opened.
Having opened in February, Cradley Village Store now provides a local shop to allow people in the village to buy their essentials.
The shop was made possible by £10,000 funding from Herefordshire Council, meaning staff can be hired and the shop can open.
A spokesperson said: "The funding has not just helped the store cash flow, but also enabled local employment which is healthy for the village.
"We have had great support from the villagers and hope to continue a great relationship with them, the store is reliant on the locals."
