A MAN has been fined for not following lane closure signals.
Colin Brown has been fined after his case was heard at North Cheshire Magistrates Court on March 25.
Brown, of Impney Way, Droitwich, was charged with driving on a road, other than a motorway, and failing to comply with red/green arrow/lane closure light signals.
The 59-year-old was not present at court as the hearing was held under the single justice procedure, which allows the court to prosecute people for driving offences without them being present.
Brown was charged after triggering automatic detection equipment on the A34 Congeleton Road Junction, Chelford Road, Monks Heath, near Macclesfield on January 28 this year.
Brown was fined £153, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and costs of £90.
Brown has to pay the total, £277, in full by April 22.
He was also given three penalty points, added to his licence.
