A CITY restaurant and pub mentioned in the Michelin Guide remains closed weeks after being forced to shut after being flooded.
The Old Rectifying House, which sits next to the River Severn in North Parade, was hit following the flooding after Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin in February.
A message on the venue's website was posted on February 22 which said: "We've had a bit of a flood. Currently closed. Will update when ready again."
That message still remains on the website, seven weeks later.
We contacted owner Matt Denwood asking when the venue will reopen, but he told us there were currently no updates he could provide.
The venue has now been flooded three times in the past three years, following floods in January last year and in February 2020.
After the February 2020 flood the water was a metre deep which led to an extensive refurbishment with a new kitchen and bathrooms, and the bar having to be rebuilt.
The Old Rec has a mention in the Michelin Guide which mentions its riverside location
It says: "With shabby-chic décor, young chefs hard at work in the open kitchen, a cocktail list and a soundtrack of jazz, blues and soul, this mock-Tudor building overlooking the river brings a hipster vibe to Worcester.
"Appealing dishes have a British slant and there’s a well-thought-out vegan menu too."
