AIR cadets helped raise almost £2,000 as they helped pack bags for shoppers at a Pershore supermarket.
Twenty-five cadets from 233 (Pershore) Squadron Air Training Corps helped customers pack their bags at Co-op.
Flight Lieutenant Andrew Smith, commanding officer, said he was proud to see the cadets work hard to raise funds for the squadron so that the unit can invest in new equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which the cadets are currently taking part in.
The total cash raised was £1,973.27 and the cadets have thanked the shop and shoppers who helped support the scheme which took place over two weekends in December.
For more information on becoming an air cadet contact the squadron on 01386 553964 or at Pershore High School between 7pm and 9.30pm on Tuesdays or Fridays.
