FUEL shortages in the city stretched into a third day as drivers found pumps empty across the city.
Queues were forming again at petrol stations as protests at oil depots across the country caused a shortage of fuel.
Leza Stephenson, owner of the Tolladine Road Service Station, said the situation had been "ridiculous" as she called for something to be done.
Climate change campaigners staged a protest at an oil facility near Heathrow Airport earlier this week.
A weekend protest by Just Stop Oil also blocked oil depots in Grays, Purfleet, Buncefield, Tamworth and central Birmingham.
The knock-on effect has led to issues at some city petrol stations throughout the week mainly affecting diesel.
The BP garage in Whittington Road had no fuel at all on Thursday morning with the pumps coned off and drivers, not realising, driving through the garage.
The sign usually displaying prices had also been switched off.
Staff at the garage told us they did not know when the next delivery will be.
The Tolladine Service Station had both petrol and diesel but some pumps were out.
The owner told us: "We had to put the bollards out again last night (Wednesday), it is ridiculous, something needs to be done.
"It has been as bad as last year. We have had to ration, people are greedy and stocking up.
"We had people coming in with cans yesterday, we told them 'no cans'."
Other petrol stations had also experienced issues on Thursday morning:
- Texaco on Tolladine Road had a number of pumps out but still had petrol and diesel.
- Texaco Castle Street had no diesel at all. A staff member told us they have some petrol left, but there were concerns it would run out. A delivery is expected tomorrow. One customer filling up there said: "It has been a nightmare" after he previously tried Malvern Morrisons which had none.
- Esso garage in London Road had queues to get in. Petrol and diesel are still in supply at moment, though some pumps are currently out of order.
We also found that the Texaco garage in Ombersley Road and Essar Henwick Road had fuel, both petrol and diesel.
An Essar staff member told us: "We have two pumps out but that's not due to shortage, they aren't working at the moment.
"There are no (shortage) issues here for us."
