A Ukrainian beer is to be sold at a popular St John's pub to help raise money for refugees.
The Bull Baiters Inn has teamed up with Ambridge Brewery in Inkberrow, to recreate a Ukrainian Beer made at the Pravade Brewery.
The brewery shared its Zenyk beer recipe with Ambridge brewer, John Nowacki, after returning from a trip to the Polish-Ukraine border taking humanitarian aid to refugees.
Chris Hankins, owner of the pub, said: " This all came about because of John and we feel it will be a really good way to try and help raise some money.
"All of the proceeds raised will be going to help refugees."
The event was originally due to take place today (April 6) but the team are in the process of perfecting the beer for thirsty customers.
Mr Hankins said: "We put the event back as we are still in the process of perfecting the beer.
"This Ukrainian brew, much like other European beers, requires a process known as 'largering', which requires waiting for a while whilst the beer properly develops.
"We gave it a try and thought it was good but we knew it could be better so we have put the event back slightly whilst we ensure it is as good as it can be."
Zenyk beer is a light five per cent abv easy-drinking ale, brewed using saaz hops and will be available at the Bull Baiters Inn and other Worcestershire hostelries.
Proceeds from beer sales will go directly to Pravda Brewery to fund relief in Ukraine.
The event follows a wide variety of Ukrainian fundraising events that have taken place in Worcester.
A running event fundraising for Ukraine on Sunday 20 March at the Nunnery Wood Sports Complex raised £5363.
Runners across Worcester and beyond are arriving at the racetrack to run for a combined 1500 laps, representing the distance it takes to get from Worcester to Kyiv.
