A 36-year-old man has denied an assault on a woman, claiming self-defence.
Luke Dayus, previously of Worcester, denied assault by beating when he appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Dayus, now of Paddock Hill in Droitwich, pleaded not guilty to the offence which is alleged to have occurred on December 13 last year in Worcester.
The trial is due to take place at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on June 21.
In the meantime, Dayus was granted unconditional bail to attend his trial. He was represented at court by Jason Patel.
