EIGHT tonnes of lead flashing has been stolen from a construction site at West Midland Safari and Leisure Park.
Thieves used oxyacetylene cutting equipment to burn the doors off the large metal container storing the lead.
Police believe they must have used a large van or lorry to remove the haul.
The theft from the park near Bewdley happened between late on Sunday evening and in to the early hours of yesterday.
Any scrap yard owners offered an unusually large quantity of lead or anyone with any information should contact police on 08457 444888 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
