POLICE have released an update on the armed response to a property on a Worcester estate.
Armed police with dogs swooped on Cranham Drive, Warndon, yesterday (March 23) after receiving reports of a person with a gun.
Eyewitnesses saw armed officers, police dogs and marked police cars around the estate.
West Mercia Police said it is continuing with its enquiries after discovering a firearm and knives at the property.
West Mercia Police said: "A firearm was recovered but no live ammunition was found.
"Several knives were also recovered.
"Officers are satisfied there is no risk to the public."
A spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are still ongoing today.
