A NEW scheme has been launched giving people the chance to find out the hygiene levels of different food outlets in Worcester.
The Scores on the Doors scheme is being supported by Worcester City Council's environmental health team, who are planning to award an easy-to-understand hygiene rating to every food retailer in Worcester.
So far more than 150 outlets have been assessed, with the results now available at www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk. Outlets which have already achieved five-star ratings for their hygiene are the Cherry Orchard Day Centre cafe on Orchard Street, the What's Cooking takeaway deli on Mealcheapen Street, DJ's Snack Bar on Scafell Close, Warndon, the Eden Coffee Shop in St Peter's Baptist Church, the Spire South Bank Hospital on Bath Road, the Woodgreen Cottage Day Nursery on Trotshill Lane East, Warndon, the Pitmaston House Training Centre on Malvern Road, St John's, and the staff canteen at Blackpole manufacturing firm Yamazaki Mazak.
