A scheduled performance from the Russian State Opera has been cancelled by Malvern Theatres.
The decision was made on March 1 to stop cancel the performance of Aida which was due to appear later this month.
The performance would have been held at the festival theatre on Sunday, March 27.
A Malvern Theatres spokesperson said: "I can confirm that the theatre has cancelled the production of Aida by The Russian State Opera.
"We made this decision back on Tuesday the 1st of March and all ticket buyers have been informed."
Aida tells the story of an Ethiopian princess held captive in Egypt, in love with a General, Radames.
The news comes in the wake of many industries looking to block any Russian imports or trade, to make a statement following the invasion of Ukraine.
Major companies have made the decision to cancel deals with Russian sponsors as well as stop the sale of Russian products in stores.
The most heavily affected area appears to be the prices of fuel, with rates soaring to new highs following the invasion.
Malvern Theatres also recently hosted a performance of Madama Butterfly, where they applauded the tenor, Vitalii Liskovetskyi, after a performance of the Ukrainian national anthem at the end of the evening.
The round of applause was captured in an emotional video from an audience member.
