A burger restaurant in Worcester is a finalist for the National Burger Awards 2022.
The Burger Shop, Worcester wowed the judges with their food and will now be competing with 15 other burger restaurants in the country.
Colin Nicholls, The Burger Shop's marketing manager, said: "It feels great to be a finalist for the National Burger Awards.
"Since we opened in 2017 we’ve been working hard to put Burger Shop on the map and this feels like the recognition that the team have been working so hard to achieve.
"I think what makes our burgers special is our use of local ingredients and especially our grass-fed beef, all of this alongside with use making our food in house from scratch really helps set us apart.
"If we were to win it would be a huge accolade and be a testament to the hard-working team that help make Burger Shop what it is."
The Burger Shop is situated at the Arches, Cherry Tree Lane in central Worcester.
The National Burger Awards will take place at the Islington Metal Works in London on Wednesday, April 20.
Mr Nicholls added: "It was a great feeling to find out that we were a finalist and everyone was really excited about the competition!
"We haven’t celebrated just yet and we will be focusing on the awards day and if that goes well then comes the celebration."
The 16 finalists will be required to compete in a cook-off consisting of three rounds.
They will firstly be required to cook their own burger in front of our judges, before creating a technical burger made up from a specific selection of ingredients that we will supply on the day.
This year, finalists will also take part in a meat-free round sponsored by The Vegetarian Butcher and Kerrymaid, and an exciting Mayo-Mixologist Challenge sponsored by Hellmann's.
