THE headmaster of Bowbrook House School has won a prestigious accolade at our Worcestershire Education Awards 2021.
Chris Allen, headmaster, at Bowbrook House School was chosen by the panel for the award and said he was "delighted".
Mr Allen said: "I am absolutely delighted and honoured.
"It is lovely to think that a pupil or parent took time to write in to nominate me."
Mr Allen said: "To have won two awards recognising the hard work and dedication of all the staff here at Bowbrook is an absolute honour.
"It has been a very trying two years. Many staff here at Bowbrook and across the County have gone above and beyond to keep schools running. It is very gratifying to be recognised in this way at such a time.
"All credit to the University of Worcester, the Worcester News and the sponsors for recognising teachers' efforts in this way.
"All staff, pupils and parents are delighted and very, very proud of our achievements."
Among those who originally nominated Mr Allen were Zoe Stokes who described him as "one in a million".
"He is always praising others and I would very much like to take this opportunity as a parent to have him recognised and praised in return," Mr Allen said.
"A true leader who has earnt respect from all age groups and who's influence of school values will always be a part of every student who goes on from Bowbrook House School.
"His influence filters throughout the school, to staff, parents and on to the pupils."
