A HEAD has paid tribute to everyone at a Peopleton school after winning the independent school of the year award.
Bowbrook House School was chosen by the panel for the award in our Worcestershire Education Awards.
Chris Allen, headmaster, said everyone at the school was "humbled and elated" to have won in the prestigious category.
"Bowbrook House School embodies its motto of 'Work with Pride', focusing on each individual pupil, their learning journey and their personal successes," Mr Allen said.
"It is recognition of all the team here at Bowbrook House School from teaching staff to ancillary and support staff, even house and ground staff, that past and present pupils and past and present parents felt strongly enough to nominate us.
"We count successes as academic, sporting and individual achievements.

"For me as head the 'personal journeys' are the real success although great exam results are nice too."
Local parent, Tamar Hughes, was among those who originally nominated the school for the award.
In the nomination he said: "I moved my son to Bowbrook in September.
"Since moving him to Bowbrook he has been encouraged and supported to try new things.
"I'm just so impressed with how inclusive the school is.
"Bowbrook House is an exceptional school. You can feel the values of the school everywhere you go.
"It is more than a school, it's a community.
"Their focus is on finding the passion and talent of each child.
"I recommend it to everyone - it's really changed my son's life."
