DASHCAM footage has captured a car driving the wrong way down a busy one way street in Worcester.

The shocking footage shows a car driving the wrong way down the left-hand lane on Tybridge Street, which heads onto Hylton Road.

The blue Renault can be seen approaching oncoming traffic, reportedly turning into the Aldi/McDonald's car park.

Christopher Green, of Lower Wick, who captured the footage on Thursday, March 3, says that he no longer drives anywhere without the dashcam enabled after seeing this sort of driving.

He said: "I’ve only got the dashcam because it came free from Kwik Fit with a pair of tyres.

"It has however been great at capturing everything from the bizarre to the downright dangerous. I wouldn’t drive anywhere without it now."

Tybridge Street is a one-way road, with multiple lanes that lead onto Hylton Road, to the city centre and back toward's St John's.

According to the Highway Code, "Traffic must travel in the direction indicated by signs.

"Buses and/or cycles may have a contraflow lane.

"Choose the correct lane for your exit as soon as you can. Do not change lanes suddenly. Unless road signs or markings indicate otherwise, you should use the left-hand lane when going left, the right-hand lane when going right and the most appropriate lane when going straight ahead."
