A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after losing a finger in an industrial accident.
The incident happened at about 11.30am today at Hydrovern Ltd on the Wilden Industrial Estate, Stourport-on-Severn.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a man whose hand had been caught in machinery.
A spokesman said: "On arrival, the man's hand had been freed, but one finger had been very badly damaged with cuts to two other fingers.
"Despite the best efforts of crews, it wasn't possible to save the finger.
