The people of Worcester have voted for their favourite Chinese restaurants in the area.
Some of the top ten restaurants that were voted for are the New Four Seasons, China City Oriental Restaurant, Chung Ying and the owners have voiced their thoughts on being selected.
The owner of the New Four Seasons, Frankie Tsang, was thrilled to have been nominated by the people of Worcester.
He said: "I have been in business for about 30 years in Worcester, we started in Lowesmoor and now we are in Powick.
"It is a great honour to be nominated in the ten most popular Chinese restaurants and takeaways in Worcester.
"We used to offer sit down meals but after the first lockdown, we decided not to open the restaurant and to just carry on with the takeaways.
"We have been affected by covid very, very hard.
"We have been in Powick for over 15 years now and we are just doing the best we can.
"It's not easy to be in the catering business."
The New Four Seasons is now situated on Malvern Road in Powick.
The owner of China City Oriental Restaurant, Lisha Bao, was also very happy to be nominated as one of the top ten Chinese restaurants in the area.
She said: "I am so pleased to be nominated
"We only want to make customers happy with our food.
"The customer is our first priority."
Ms Bao specified that her main aim is to deliver the best quality of food and customer service.
China City Oriental Restaurant was originally opened by Ms Bao in London, however, she moved it to Worcester to have a quieter life with more fresh air.
She works to get the highest quality Thai chillies, saying that she would not have moved from London to Worcester if she could not find the right ingredients in the West Midlands.
The restaurant is now on Kidderminster Road, Ombersley.
Ken Hui, owner of Chung Ying, was very proud that the takeaway had been voted for.
He said: "It feels good, we are quite proud of what we are doing.
"It must mean that we are doing good work so we will keep doing what we're doing."
Chung Ying is on London Road, Worcester.
