TAKE a look inside the new apartments at the city's former fire station which have secured its first buyer.

Ruth Meacham, project manager for a software developer, will be one of the first residents to move into Worcester’s iconic The Old Fire Station in Copenhagen Street.

She said: "I used to work in Worcester many years ago and have always loved the city.

"I have wanted to move to a centre apartment for ages and am very excited with the thought of my new "city pad” right in the middle of Worcester.

Worcester News:

"I was looking all over the country for the perfect pad and have now found an apartment which just happened to be near where I grew up and worked.

"My criteria has always been to live in a renovated development that has a genuine personality rather than a total new build, and of course to have the fabric for a vibrant community life."

Ben Roberts, managing director of Gutherie Roberts said: “We have had tremendous interest in this project and we are delighted that we have already sold all but one apartment off-plan during the first phase of the project.

Worcester News:

"Our plans carefully consider parking, green space and sustainability, encompassing a landscaped city garden and electric car charging.”

"It’s easy to see why so many people are interested in this most fantastic of buildings.

"Our show apartment is due to open in mid-February. It has been great to see the basis of a new community forming at The Old Fire Station.”
