ANOTHER potential offender involved with Warndon Villages recent 'car crime wave' has been caught on video.

The man appears to be trying the car door handle of a vehicle before setting off a security light in the footage shared on social media.

PCSO David Anderson said: "Reports are still coming in of potential offenders - we ask people to keep sending in their footage. We are very much keeping on top of it."

PCSO Anderson also confirmed patrols stepped up in response to the crime wave before Christmas were continuing.

The vehicle belonged to Emily Bond with her claiming the man checked the door handle of the car parked on the driveway of her home in Popert Drive, Perry Wood Oak at 3am on January 28.

Miss Bond, who stood for election to Warndon's Worcestershire County Council seat last May, said she had now reported it to police.

"It is important to make sure you don’t keep valuables in your car and to double check that you have locked up every evening," Miss Bond said.

"Try not to give prospecting thieves any opportunity."

The man that can be seen in the video appears to be wearing light clothing and dark trainers.

The crime wave has seen vehicles stolen from driveways, and a spate of car breaks in and attempted breaks ins across Warndon Villages.

Among the incidents have been two vehicles stolen from driveways of properties and cars broken into in Topham Avenue and Wood Leason Avenue.

Andy Roberts, Worcestershire County councillor for Warndon, previously told us: "We accept we are in a low level car crime area but this is starting to knock the confidence of the public. To be frank I agree with them that is enough is enough."
