A DANCE club for people of all ages will be waltzing its way into a former industrial building in Malvern.
Malvern Hills District councillors have approved an application to convert the Dytecna building on Spring Lane into a dance club.
The premises have been on the market for 18 months and the dance club proposal is the first significant inquiry that has been received.
The proposal aims to provide a 300 sq metre dance area, a social seating area, a coffee bar, a storage space, a ground floor treatment room, a creche and toilet facilities on the ground floor with a fitness room, storage facilities, two small treatment rooms and small seating area on the second floor.
Planning officer Gillian McDermott told members of the council's southern area development committee: "The development would provide a community benefit for all age groups and, on balance, your officers consider there would be sufficient reason to recommend approval of the application."
