LOYAL workers at a catering firm were rewarded for their efforts with a two-day trip to London.

Leslie Darlington and Kim Brant, both from Worcester, were treated to the trip as part of an award recognising 20 years of service to Sodexho.

The firm is a food and facilities management services provider.

Mr Darlington works in the sales team and Ms Brant works for Sodexho at Optimum Contact Solutions.

The pair were two of 110 Sodexho employees from across the UK to win awards for their loyalty to the firm.

They attended Sodexho's annual Star Awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, went on the London Eye, had a luxury lunch cruise on the river Thames and were each given a gift.

In a special ceremony held on the luxury cruiser Symphony II, Sodexho chief executive Philip Jansen thanked them for their hard work and dedication, and presented them with the company's twenty years of service badge.

Mr Jansen said: "Sodexho's success is built primarily on its people. This annual event is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for people like Leslie and Kim and to show just how much we value and appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and loyalty they have shown over the years." In the UK and Ireland, Sodexho employs 48,000 people and provides catering and a range of services to clients at more than 2,300 locations in the business, education, healthcare and leisure.
