A 74-year-old man has been taken to court by the council for failing to move his mobile home, despite an enforcement notice.
Richard Yardley was issued with the notice by Wyre Forest District Council on January 28, 2020, for using a patch of land adjacent to a bungalow on Cakebole Lane, Chaddesley Corbett for residential purposes - despite not having the planning permission to do so.
The notice ordered Yardley to permanently remove the mobile home, including its electrical and water connections, storage container, concrete pad and septic tank, and reinstate the land as grass.
However, the council allege between March 3, 2020, and February 1, 2021, he failed to meet these conditions, therefore breaching the enforcement notice.
Yardley appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (January 24), where the case was adjourned for the pensioner to seek legal representation and return to court on February 23 to enter a plea.
Richard Norman Yardley, of Cakebole Lane, Chaddesley Corbet appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, January 24.
