A Worcester man has admitted handling a stolen Tesco hoover and pinching a bike, but has denied carrying a makeshift knife.
Daniel Tyler appeared before Worcester magistrates on Monday (January 24) facing three charges.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a bike worth £450 belonging to Jack Carter on October 6, 2020 - a charge Tyler had previously pleaded not guilty to.
He also admitted assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, namely a £99 Henry hoover which was stolen from the Tesco superstore in St Peters on January 8.
The case was adjourned until March 14 for a pre-sentencing report to be prepared.
In the meantime, Tyler has been released on bail under the condition he is not to enter the Tesco in St Peters.
However, Tyler denied being caught carrying a knife in St Peters Drive on the same date.
The bench heard how he was found by officers in possession of a blade with white tape wrapped around it to form a makeshift handle.
Tyler, of City Guest House, Barbourne Road, Worcester, will return to Worcester Magistrates Court for a trial on that the knife possession on March 22.
