Severn Terrace, off Croft Road, in Worcester, has been closed by police.

At 7.15 this evening, as water from the River Severn was expected to rise overnight, officers from West Mercia, along with Worcester City Council staff put up barriers to stop traffic using the street opposite Pitchcroft.

There were a number of cars parked along the terrace at the time.
